Every time we stay in Villanueva, like to stay here. The hotel has clean rooms with direct access to the gardens for the dog and the dog bed. The staff is great, and the host too. It has great, peaceful setting, not far from an old medieval tower, the Santander ferry and Spain.

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful and historic property. Our room in the old medieval tower was rustic and lovely, and the grounds were stunning. The nearby restaurant served amazing Spanish food, and the hotel's modern amenities were a nice touch. The whole family had a great time in our spacious room. The Landlady's effort to communicate in English was appreciated, and the hotel's location made it convenient for our ferry ride.
Would definitely recommend this hotel.

The old stable buildings have been converted into comfortable rooms which are clean and warm. The staff are helpful and love to share the history of the building. The location is great, just a short drive from Santander and the Parque de la Naturaleza Cabarceno.
Everything was great, no complaints.

Close to Santander ferry which gave us a break on our way home. The hotel's location was perfect for our needs, as we were able to easily catch the ferry without any hassle. It saved us a lot of time and made our trip more convenient.
No bar or restaurant. While this hotel had many positive aspects, one thing that could be improved is the lack of a bar or restaurant.

A hidden gem in the countryside! the ancient architecture and welcoming staff added a unique touch to our easter vacation. We appreciated the recommendation for a local French restaurant serving mouth-watering tarte tatin and steak. the park nearby made for a fun day trip.
The language barrier was a bit of a challenge for us, menus and information were only in Spanish. No room fans were available and the traditional villa could benefit from air conditioning.

Convenient location off main road but GPS took narrow route. Discreet off-road parking available. Pet-friendly with animals from nearby lakes. Fantastic fish restaurant next door. Quirky charm. 11 miles from ferry.
